1. Where is there information about the revisions to the SCWin software?

   TheSCWinrevision history information can be found through the “Software and OS Revision Histories” web page forShort Cut.

2. Can Short Cut for Windows write data logger code for the TDR100?

   No. A CRBasic or Edlog data logger editor (included inPC400andLoggerNetsoftware) is needed to write program code for the TDR100.Short Cut for Windows(SCWin) is not designed to handle the many variables of the TDR100.

3. Can Short Cut be used to write a program for the CS475, CS476, or CS477?

   Yes. In the水|Level & Flowfolder, there is the option to selectCS475/CS476/CS477 Radar Water Level Sensor. Click to move the selection to theSelected井斜ce window, and enter the SDI-12 address.

4. Using either an OBS-3+ or OBS300 with Short Cut, how can both NTU and mV values be included as outputs?

   Short Cut does not allow mV readings. To record the raw mV data before it is converted to NTU, open the Short Cut file in the CRBasic Editor, and alter the program manually.

5. If the NR01-L is not listed as a sensor in Short Cut, how can the sensor be configured?

   It is possible that an older version ofShort Cutis being used. Download thelatest version ofShort Cut.

6. If the 255-100 Evaporation Gauge is not listed as a sensor in Short Cut, how can the sensor be configured?

   TheHalf Bridgeinstruction should be selected (not the 3 Wire or 4 Wire options) inShort Cut. The following parameters are data logger specific, but the following can be used on the CR1000 datalogger with the sensor wired to SE1, and Vx1:

7. Where is the manual for SCWin?

   We do not offer an individual manual forSCWin(Short Cut for Windows).Short Cutinformation is provided in theLoggerNet,RTDAQ, andPC400manuals. Information can also be obtained from theHelpscreens withinSCWin.

8. Does CRBasic have to be used to program a data logger? Does a menu-driven program generator exist for the data logger?

   A free program generator for all Campbell Scientific data loggers isShort Cut for Windows(SCWin).Short Cutcan be used to create programs in many situations where Campbell Scientific equipment is used. The Campbell Scientific YouTube channel has atwo-part series on usingShort Cut.

   In situations where program requirements are too complex or specialized forShort Cut, programs can be written in any text editor that can edit and save plain ASCII text. However, creating an error-free program would be very difficult. The CRBasic Editor that comes withPC400andLoggerNetprovides a programming environment with procedure templates, integrated help, programming examples, the ability to test compile the program before sending it, and many other features that can be very helpful when developing a program.

9. What is an easy way to program a data logger?

   The easiest way to program a data logger is to useSCWin(Short Cut for Windows).SCWinis available as a free download in the Downloads section of theSCWinproduct page.SCWinassigns the physical channels (connect the sensors according to the wiring diagram provided) and writes the program using the appropriate instructions and instruction parameters for the sensors selected by the user.

10. Can Short Cut be used to make a CR1000 or CR3000 with an NL120 push data to an FTP?

    No.Short Cutversion 3.0 cannot be used to program the data logger to send data via FTP.
