The 8272 (also known as the CR9031) was the CPU Module for the retired CR9000. It provided system control, processing, and communication to a PC via Transputer Link (Tlink) or fiber optic connections (see CR9000(C) Interfaces section). The primary processor was a 32-bit Inmos T805 Transputer. The module had 2 Mbytes of static RAM and 2 Mbytes of Flash EEPROM.
